She loves standing, but it really makes her mad when she falls or can't quite pull up to see something she wants. She will just sit and cry and whine until she get what she wants or can pull herself up. Did I mention that I think we have a stubborn and tenacious daughter? We have no idea where that came from.
Also, we cleaned out her toy bag, and this is her laying in the middle of all of her toys (minus the singing dog that lives in the car). I think this may be one of the best moments of her life.
The family comment contest has come to an end. Thank you to all of you who participated. Congratulations Pop, you came in first place with seven comments, and will be receiving a Yemaya photo album (hopefully before she turns one). Kate, you were a close second with five comments and will be receiving a good second place prize (I'll come up with something good I promise). Thanks to all the non-family members as well for your thoughts and ideas. I love hearing from you all on my blog.
Also, we had a nice visit with Grammie, but didn't take a single picture to post here. Thanks for coming out!
So now, there's no reason to comment on your blog anymore?
ReplyDeleteYes, that is right. Since you will not win any further prizes the only reason to comment is because you want to.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your little explorers new discovery!
ReplyDeleteJust last week we went down to the boat and we put down that Soft tile (interlocking foam) in the area where Logan would play. It's pretty inexpensive (we got ours at Canadian tire - there are of course more expensive fancy kinds w/ designs or looks like bamboo). But we found it very easy to work with and cut (with scissors) to custom fit the floor. Haven't gotten to use it a whole lot, but I feel a lot better when he does go down to the boat. He's crawling like mad and pulls himself up on everything, and sounds like he has a similar disposition to Yemaya! He can get himself in some pretty precarious positions, a padded room looks better and better every day ;)! I've also been thinking of the practicality of the harness and tether off the boat as well - ahhh the peace of mind.
Not sure if this would be practical for you since you live aboard , just thought I'd pass it along.
